- Cotton gives crisp, well-defined petals; soft acrylic makes a rounder, cuddlier tulip.
- For a closed bud, work only Rnds 1–9, stuff lightly and gather the top closed.

How do I make the tulip stand up in a vase?

Can I use worsted-weight yarn?
Yes. The tulip will be larger; use a hook around 3.5–4 mm and a slightly thicker wire.
