This policy explains how All About Crochet (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit allaboutcrochet.online.

All About Crochet is operated by Akram Afkir, based in Casablanca, Morocco. You can contact us at akramafkir@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
We don't currently run a newsletter or an online contact form. If we add one, we will update this policy before collecting that information.
Information stored on your device
Some features work entirely in your browser using local storage. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- patterns you save to your Saved patterns list;
- rows and rounds you tick off on pattern pages;
- your cookie and privacy choices.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting and security logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver and protect the site.
- Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, approximate location (such as country or city), and device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. If you reject analytics cookies, or haven't made a choice, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Advertising
We don't currently show ads. We may display ads served by Google AdSense in the future; if we do, we will update this policy and ask for any consent required first. When ads are shown, Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads based on those visits. You can turn off personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings and learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
How we use information
- To reply to your emails and correction reports.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
- To understand which content is useful (only with your consent).
Legal bases
Where laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation or Morocco's Law 09-08 on the protection of personal data apply, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies, and on our legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and replying to messages you send us.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site — Vercel (hosting) and Google (analytics, only with your consent) — and when required by law.
International transfers
Vercel and Google may process information in the United States and other countries. These providers use recognized safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, for international transfers.
How long we keep information
- Emails: for as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 12 months afterwards unless needed to resolve an issue.
- Analytics data: for the retention period set in Google Analytics (currently 2 months for detailed event data).
- Hosting logs: according to Vercel's retention settings.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or download your information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, email akramafkir@gmail.com. If you are in Morocco, you can also contact the national data protection authority (CNDP); in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.
You can change your cookie choices at any time using Cookie preferences in the site footer.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the effective date above.
