We want everyone to be able to find, read and follow our patterns — including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technologies.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA wherever we can.
What we have done
- Built pages with semantic HTML, clear headings and landmarks.
- Made every feature usable with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators and a skip-to-content link.
- Checked text and interface colors for sufficient contrast.
- Written descriptive alternative text for images.
- Respected your device’s reduced motion setting.
- Included stitch counts and plain-language explanations in patterns.
- Created Crochet Mode, which enlarges instructions and removes distractions while you work.
- Made patterns print cleanly, with navigation and ads removed.
